CEE’s Annual Educator Conference Was a Huge Success!
This year marked our 61st annual Financial Literacy & Economic Education Conference. Here, we gather together with educators, affiliates, and friends of CEE for a 2-day event packed with all things economics and personal finance. We offer live professional development opportunities to help teachers learn the latest and share exciting ways to engage students of all ages and also provide opportunities for networking so teachers can learn from each other too!
About CEE
There were over 50 educational sessions with topics such as The Economics of Food Delivery, Female Pioneers in Economics, Gamifying Personal Finance to Increase Student Engagement, and Personal Finance Escape Room in a Bag. The Conference also featured Karin Kimbrough, the Chief Economist for LinkedIn, as the plenary speaker.
This year was our first year back in person since 2019 and we were THRILLED to see everyone!! We are already counting down the days until next year! Here are some photo highlights, but be sure to check us out on Twitter to see our live tweeting throughout the entire Conference. Hope to see you next year! Finally, we’d like to offer a huge thank you to our co-host, the Virginia Council on Economic Education, and our sponsors; Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Discover, Federal Reserve Education, Fidelity Investments, NEFE, and ally. We are grateful for your support.
About the Council for Economic Education
The Council for Economic Education’s (CEE’s) mission is to equip K–12 students with the tools and knowledge of personal finance and economics so that they can make better decisions for themselves, their families, and their communities, and learn to successfully navigate in our ever-changing economy. We carry out our mission in three ways. We advocate to require financial and economic education in every state. We provide training, tools and resources – online and live through over 180 affiliates nationwide – to more than 40,000 teachers annually who in turn bring the highest quality economics and personal finance instruction to over 4 million students. We deepen knowledge and introduce high school students to critical career capabilities through our national competitions and Invest in Girls program.
